Almost Done

The binding is on! This has taken awhile but thanks to a great friend who quilted this, it is almost ready to take a trip to my Grand-daughter Ivy.

This was a really fun pattern to make and while the fabric collection "Glamour, Inc" by Benartex
may be hard to find (I started this last year). but the border on the pattern looks like ribbons - it would be great to use on something else too.

Be sure to stay tuned, I have a couple other projects almost complete to post.

Hugs to all and Happy Sewing

Sharon

Retreat Opportunity

I have attended a work shop with Mary Lou Weidman in West Virginia for the
last two years. She is a great teacher and a lovely person.

There are several openings still left in the workshop with takes place in
November (1 - 5). Mary Lou will be teaching a wonderful Christmas workshop
along with her "Out of the Box" Techniques.
>
This is a wonderful opportunity that is at the Cedar Lakes Conference
Center in Ripley, WV The cost for the retreat is $656.74 for a private room,
$484.49 for a single room, $382.19 for a double room. This includes your
room, 3 (yummy- home cooked) meals a day, and the workshop fee.

This is a link to Mary Lou's blog showing the "Christmas Story Quilt" and
Wreath she will be teaching. http://marylouweidman-marylou.blogspot.com/.

Hop over to The Ribbon Retreat Blog to see all the other links and while you are there enter the give-away!

Looks like blogger won't load my photos - I will try again tomorrow - but go look at all the other cute bags!

Christmas Sewing

It was a quiet Christmas day. After opening gifts with my Gandson, I went home and spent the day sewing.

This is a picture of my Row Quilt, that was an exchange at quilt guild. I started with the row of liberated Ladies and then 7 VERY talented ladies made thwr other rows. Aren't they beautiful.

We are are completing them and will display them at Quilters Day Out in March.
